The Whatcom LEPC-Local Emergency Planning Committee, is made up of community members who are committed to emergency planning efforts in our County. The LEPC assists the County and the City of Bellingham in drafting our Hazard Materials Response Plan. Membership is made up of local officials, private sector partners, citizens, non-governmental organizations, and first responders. This plan is updated every five years.
The LEPC meetings are quarterly. The Chair of the LEPC is elected from the participating members. Each term of service is one year.
