Prepare in a Year
It might seem like there's so many things to do to get prepared for an emergency. And there are a lot of things you can do. But you don't have to do them all today. The Prepare in a Year concept suggests that you do a little bit every month to prepare yourself, your family and your home.
Washington State Emergency Management has a Prepare in a Year booklet available for download.
This booklet can step you through the process of getting prepared. Just put a mark on your calendar each month and work your way through it. Most months will take only an hour or so to do, and it's okay to work ahead if you want.
