Internships

Whatcom Unified Emergency Management has periodic opportunities for student internships. If you are a student at Western Washington University or Whatcom Community College and have an internship requirement please contact us. Most of our internships center around specific projects; we want your experience here to make a difference for both you and our organization.

Internship Options

Students have helped us with a variety of projects in Emergency Management. Recent assignments include:

• Coordinating a Commodity Flow Study
• Providing support for the 2010 Olympics
• Updating the Whatcom County Hazard Identification and Vulnerability Analysis Plan

We support individual internships and group projects. While we don't always have a project ready to go, we're open to ideas.
